1. Black pepper gardens

Phu Quoc black pepper is famous for its pungency. Its flavour is stronger than any kinds of black pepper planted in other lands. The local people always welcome you to their black pepper gardens. After your visit to black pepper gardens, you may buy dried black peppers as the present for relatives.

Position: the largest area of black pepper is in Khu Tuong, 15 kilometers north Duong Dong town.

2. Nguyen Trung Truc Temple

The temple was built by the local in Phu Quoc to worship the national hero Nguyen Trung Truc. Every year on August 28th (lunar calendar), the local gather at Nguyen Trung Truc Temple to celebrate activities in commemoration of the national hero.

3. Ganh Dau Cape

Part of the land sticking out into the sea attracts tourists for its pristine and wild beauty. From this place, you can see Cambodia’s sea area. Ganh Dau possesses a 500 meters long beach which is bow shaped. This is also an ideal place for enjoying seafood.

4. Sunset at Dinh Cau

Dinh Cau Cape is a tourist attraction that almost every tourist will drop by whenever they visit Phu Quoc for relaxation and sightseeing. The natural stone cliff is like an odd shaped mountain surrounded by sea waves and rocks. On top of the mountain lies an ancient shrine whose rooftop is covered with a moss layer. On the rooftop, there is a couple of blue porcelain dragons which are looking toward the moon placed between them. Beside the beach, there situated a lofty lighthouse. And the most amazing scene is the sunset that will leave a strong impression on every tourist coming there.

5. Hon Thom

Diving at Phu Quoc Island

Positioned in the north of Phu Quoc Island, Hon Thom island (pineapple island) is a well-known island of Phu Quoc. You can go diving to admire coral reefs, or go to see the aquaculture areas, pearl farms. After about 10 minutes boat ride from Hon Thom, you can visit a famous squid fishing village in Phu Quoc.   

Position: from Phu Quoc port, it takes about 30 minutes to arrive at Hon Thom.

6. Tranh stream

Tranh stream is composed of many smaller streams flowing through forests and ranges of mountain. From June to September, there is always water in it. The natural landscapes and scenery is stunning with wild plants, flowers, and forests, the sea and streams, which is absolutely ideal for camping. Coming there, visitors may set up their tents beside the stream to take a rest and join special camping activities.

Position: Tranh stream originates from Ham Ninh mountain range, in the northeast of Phu Quoc Island. It is about 10 kilometers from Duong Dong to Tranh stream if you go along the pathway Duong Dong – Ham Ninh.

7. Da Ban stream

Phu Quoc local people was inspired by large and flat stones on Da Ban stream when they named it. It is said that those stones were the place where fairies used to sit on every time they flew down to earth and take a rest.

Position: in the north of Phu Quoc Island. Start off from Duong Dong town, keep going to the north of the island along the way where there are signs directing to Da Ban stream.

8. Da Ngon stream

Stunning Da Ngon stream, which forms from seven falls, is still a mystery for tourists who love adventures and discovering. It appears as majestic as Dray Sap fall and Dray Nur fall of the highland Buon Ma Thuot. The stream is full of water around the year. However, the perfect time to admire the picturesque scenery of Da Ngon stream is from November to April when it is in rainny season.

9. Bai Dai Beach

The beach was chosen as one of the ten most beautiful and unspoiled beaches in the world by BBC. Bai Dai beach of Phu Quoc is 1500 meters long with ranges of poplars running straight along it.

10. Coi Nguon Museum

This is until now the ninth private museum in Vietnam. Coi Nguon Museum is considered as a place for conserving stories about Phu Quoc and Phu Quoc’s “soul”. It archives more than 3,000 antiquities among which there are 300 precious document folders reading all information relating to Phu Quoc in Chinese characters, Vietnamese, English and French. Besides, there are areas for exhibiting crafts produced from tree cores, seashells, pearls, areas for exhibiting Phu Quoc traditional stilt houses, conservation area of Phu Quoc ridgebacks, sea eagles and gannets.
