9 Ideal tourist sites in Hue for summer vacation

Travelling to Hue in summer, tourists will have chance to get immersed in Lang Co sea or the fresh water of Mo stream, admire the green scenery of Truoi lake, Cau Hai lagoon.

Cau Hai lagoon: Not as popular as Chuon lagoon or Lap An lagoon, Cau Hai lagoon is within walking distance  of the National Route 1A, runs from Cau Hai to the foot of Phu Gia Pass. Cau Hai lagoon is as large as sea, receives water from the tributeries in Hue; as the result,in dry seasons, its fresh water turns into brackish water.

Lang Co Bay: Lang Co is a quite famous beach which is about 70 kilometers from Hue and located in Lang Co town, Phu Loc district, Hue. This is also the third Vietnamese beach appearing in the list of the 30 most beautiful beaches in the world. The time when Lang Co is considered to be the most beautiful is at sunrise according to many tourists.

Truoi lake: From Hue city, go along the way to Truoi bridge (Loc Hoa commune, Phu Loc district) then keep going for about 10 kilometers, you will see Truoi lake and Truc Lam Bach Ma Buddhist Monastery. Truoi land has become a poetic image for its stunning and unique beauty. Truoi lake with pure blue water –lying under the foot of Back Ma mountain - stretches out as far as we can see. Apart from visiting the Buddhist Monastery, you can hire a boat for a journey on the lake, or visit wild streams running into Truoi lake.

Ganh Lang Community-based tourist site: Ganh Lang is located at Mai Gia Phuong Village, Loc Binh Commune, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province. This is a new community-based tourist site developed by the local government. Ganh Lang has such favorable factors as: clean natural environment, unique scenery and diverse ecological characteristics. Besides, Ganh Lang has a famous village producing melaleuca oil.

Mo stream: Mo stream or Mo waterfall is an attractive tourist destination located in Lang Co town, Phu Loc district, about 65 kilometers from Hue city. Mo stream welcomes visitors with the primary forest, and cool, fresh air. This is such an interesting place for families who want to escape from the extreme heat of summer.

Thanh Toan Tile-roofed bridge: Thanh Toan is a 4-meter-wide wooden bridge crossing over an  irrigation canal of Thanh Thuy Chanh village, Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town, about 8 kilometers South-east of Hue city. The bridge is considered as a symbol of the village. Thanh Toan tile-roofed bridge was recognized as a national relic site by the government for its rare architecture features and high art values in Vietnam.

Perfume river (Huong river): Anyone when coming to Hue also wishes to admire romantic Huong river with their own eyes. If visitors want to take a boat trip, let’s to to Toa Kham pier.

Truong Tien Bridge: Truong Tien Bridge is a symbol of history which has witnessed a lot of changes of the ancient capital. Truong Tien Bridge has 6 curved  steel girders, is 402 meters long and 6 meters wide.

Thien Mu pagoda: Situated on Ha Khe hill(Kim Long ward), facing the romantic Perfume River, Thien Mu pagoda is also called by the name Linh Mu pagoda. It was built in 1601 by Lord Nguyen Hoang. Every day, Thien Mu pagoda welcomes both domestic and international visitors who come for sight seeing and worship.
